Our new store is
now open to the public. It is called Back Porch Primitives. Here you will
find antiques, primitive crafts, candles, potpourri and needful
things created by both Bob and myself. We both love primitives
and we wanted to incorporate our love of crafts with our love
for antiques, so this way we get it all...and so do our
customers.
We hope

Stars &
Stripes
$52.95 for the pair USD
This
cute pair are proudly showing their American Spirit. They both
are made from muslin with a shiny red, white and blue fabric.
Stars bodice is a red fabric and she is holding 3 different
stars which can be easily removed. Stripes is waving his flag on
a stick and he has a red wooden star button at his arm joints
and a blue wooden star button at the top of his leg joints.
Stars is 10 inches and Stripes is 13 inches sitting.

This
patriotic crow perched himself into the pocket of a star which
was hand stitched America. He is holding another little fabric
star from his beak. A color washed muslin flag was tucked in
along with some angel vine, rose hips and sweet annie The gold
print star is wrapped to an antique bobbin with aged cheesecloth
and a rusty bell. This Americana piece measures 21 inches high.
What a great way to display your patriotic spirit!

Crow

This darling little crow is holding 1 USA banner and 2 flag ones
by rusty wire. He has a rusty bell attached to his blue check
bow. Each item was color washed, stained, sanded and stained
again. It measures 8 x 8 and is a great little piece to hang on
your wall.
Americana Sheep

These sheep measure 7
inches long by 6 inches high and made from wool felt which I
have put through a process to make them look wooly. Their faces
are color washed muslin and each has their own unique flag
attached.
USA and 1776 Stars
$7.95 Each USD
The
USA star is made from red ticking fabric and the 1776 star is
made from blue ticking. Each have a pocket with a sprig of sweet
annie tucked in. The banners have been stenciled to muslin and
then stained and are attached with a rusty pin and bell on each
side. These stars measures 6 x 8.
Americana Pillows
$10.95 USD
Each of these pillows
were stuffed the old fashion way using saw dust. The large star
pillow is 6 x 3 and the flag pillow is 5 x 2 1/2. They are tied
together with twine and have a stained tag attached which reads
liberty.
Heart
Springs

We
made more of our hearts and attached a rusty key along with some
aged cheesecloth wrapped with a sprig of sweet annie. We then
tucked the heart into a rusty spring and added an aged tag that
reads "keeper of the
heart".
